We send players in weekly for recovery when playing more than one match a week, but not just for training recovery. We have sent several players into Lincoln CryoLab the day before a game to accelerate recovery from injury when they are unfit to play the next day. Pretty much every time cryotherapy has turned this around for the next match day
Training hard and in older age is more common these days, especially with Crossfit and HIT style gyms becoming so popular. With Tough Mudder and dozens of assualt course events to cycling and triathalons, it’s now more common for people in their forties, fifties and beyond to be highly active. This was not the case some years ago, forty years old meant you were actually one hundred and twenty three.
Not these days though, we are like a different animal and it’s all good. But not many pay attention to proper recovery strategies. Especially as you get older, it’s vital you take your recovery seriously.

A Cryo Chamber delivers the cold using liquid nitrogen which cools the air in the chamber. While this only affects the surface of the skin, it’s enough for your body to trigger it’s thermoreceptors – which tells your body you are freezing.
