Cryotherapy at our Lincoln clinic
Why people use cryo
People visit us for many different reasons: recovery after exercise, everyday aches and stiffness, or simply a few minutes to reset during a busy week. Some enjoy the invigorating feeling afterwards, while others tell us that better sleep is what keeps them coming back.
With more than 12,000 sessions delivered in Lincoln, we’ve heard a wide range of feedback, including from clients living with fibromyalgia, arthritis and polymyalgia.
Finding a routine that works for you
You can book cryotherapy occasionally or make it part of a regular recovery routine. Some clients visit after demanding training; others prefer a weekly appointment.
We’ll discuss your goals, check your health history and review how you respond before suggesting a frequency. A short series of sessions may help you decide whether it feels worthwhile, but there is no fixed number that guarantees a benefit.
Your first session
We start with a health screening and explain the process, including how to stand and communicate with your operator throughout the session.
You’ll spend around three minutes in the chamber, depending on your suitability and comfort. Expect an intense, dry cold, with an operator supervising you throughout. You can ask to stop at any time.
At Lincoln, we introduce new clients gradually. Colder isn’t automatically better, and chasing the lowest temperature isn’t the aim.
Getting ready for your visit
Wear or bring clean, completely dry underwear, shorts or swimwear. A sports bra is also suitable. Both your skin and clothing must be dry before entering.
We provide protective socks and footwear, with gloves supplied as appropriate. Your operator will explain the required hand position and protection. Remove jewellery, watches and other metal items beforehand, and let us know about any skin irritation or changes to your health before each session.
With over 12000 sessions in several years, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience.
